    City of Redding Community Services Dept. — The Community Services Department is responsible for the delivery of high-quality fitness, educational and leisure programs through the Recreation Division; the administration, planning and development of Parks and Trails; the acquisition of Open Space; and overseeing the City of Redding’s "Art in Public Places" program.

    Redding Record Searchlight — The Record Searchlight was founded as the Redding Record Searchlight in October of 1938 by Editor Paul C. Bodenhamer and Business Manager Harry O. Bostwick. Today’s Record Searchlight is the result of the consolidation of several area newspapers that traced their heritage back to the pioneer community of Shasta and the Shasta Courier, which was founded March 13, 1852.
